Credit customized to your level of study

  • Undergraduate

    For full- or part-time students at an accredited Canadian university or college.

    • Full-time students: up to $20,000 per year, to a maximum of $80,000 over four years of study4
    • Part-time students: up to $20,000 per year, to a maximum of $80,0004
  • Graduate

    Credit limits depend on your course of study.

    • Masters or Ph.D.: up to $80,000 over two years of study
    • Naturopathy: up to $80,000 over four years of study
    • Chiropractic: up to $100,000 over four years of study
    • Optometry/Pharmacy: up to $175,000 over four years of study
    • Law: up to $150,000 over three years of study
    • MBA: up to $125,000 over your study period
  • Professional

    Credit limits depend on your course of study.

    • Dental: up to $350,000 and $100,000 in your first year of study
    • Medical: up to $350,000 and $100,000 in your first year of study; continued access during residency
    • Veterinary: up to $200,000; up to $50,000 in your first year of study

What to bring to your appointment

  1. For an Undergraduate Student Line of Credit, you’ll probably need a co-signor (most other applications don’t need a co-signor)

  2. Your current address (if you’ve been there less than three years, we’ll need your previous address as well)

  3. The sources and amount of your annual income

  4. What you spend monthly on your rent or mortgage

  1. Your monthly payments (loans, credit cards, lines of credit)

  2. Your household expenses (utilities, property tax, insurance, etc.)

  3. Proof of enrollment

  4. Your Social Insurance Number (optional)

Personal Line of Credit

Student Line of Credit
Get the funds you need to cover the costs of a post-secondary education.

Investment Secured Line of Credit
Use your eligible investments as collateral to borrow at a lower interest rate vs. an unsecured line of credit.

TD Home Equity FlexLine
With your home as collateral, you’ll pay less in interest than with a personal line of credit.
